Pre-arrival information
With FHIES 12 being only a few days away, we would like to share some final information with you.
* LOCATION*
The symposium will be hosted by the Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers (CNAM) at
2, Rue Conté 75141 Paris Cédex 03.
The CNAM is nearby two metro lines: metro line 4 at "réaumur Sebastopol" station and metro line 11
at “Arts et métiers” station (More information can be found at RATP or interactive map).
* PROGRAM *
The symposium will start at 9am on Monday. Please refer to our Web site for an overview of the complete program. Please also make sure to take note of your assignment as session chair (if applicable).
* PRE-PROCEEDINGS *
The pre-proceedings will be made available for download at the symposium.
* SOCAL EVENT *
We are planning a social event on Monday night. Details will be discussed on Monday.

Preliminary program posted
A preliminary program has been posted on the Web site. The program committee selected eleven long and three short papers from a total of 28 submissions. Thanks to everyone who submitted and thanks to the members of the program committee for their hard work in reviewing papers and providing constructive feedback to authors.
Submission closed, reviewing process underway
The paper submission process is now closed and the program committee has begun reviewing the papers to produce an interesting and stimulating program for the symposium. We will also publish details about the conference registration, soon. Stay tuned.
Submission deadline extended
We received several requests for extensions to the submission deadline and have therefore extended the deadline to May 20 (for abstracts) and May 27 for full papers.
UNU-IIST Keynote Speaker: Gerry Douglas
We are happy to announce that Prof. Gerry Douglas will be this year's UNU-IIST 20th Anniversary keynote speaker at FHIES 12. Gerry has been a major force behind "Malawi's $1 million eHealth miracle".

We will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the United Nations University International Institute of Software Technology (UNU-IIST) this year. Find out more about the vision and mission of the institute here.

First keynote confirmed: Jacques Grassi

We are excited to report that Jacques Grassi, Director of the thematic multi-organization institute Health Technologies, has been confirmed as the first keynote speaker at FHIES 12.
